This chullos (hats) that adorn the top of our Rocoto Hot Sauce bottles are hand-made by women artisans in the mountains of Perú. This work empowers them to share their cultural traditions with the world and helps them provide financial support to their families.

INGREDIENTS: Rocoto Hot Pepper, Salt, Water, Apple Cider Vinegar, Corn Oil, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate 

The Rocoto pepper is native to the high altitudes of the Andes Mountains and has been heating up Peruvian dishes for centuries.  Loved for its' bold, spicy flavor with tropical fruit undertones, the Incas began cultivating this pepper over 5,000 years ago.
